This is a collection of 26 spirituals which, for the most part, are unfamiliar. These include "Way Beyon' De Moon", "Didn' It Rain", "Don' Leabe Me", "Ef Yer Wan' Ter See Jesus".

Dorothy Gray Bolton spent most of her life on a plantation near Mansfield, Georgia. She collected and painstakingly wrote down the words and melody lines of these songs by listening to those who worked in the fields of Newton County, Georgia.

This valuable, authentic and historic collection of spirituals is a priceless addition to the music of the blacks and whites who worked in Georgia during the early part of the 20th century.
