The Maverick is a collection of poetry about a man who regularly tackles the misery of pain and predicament as he struggles to find his place in society during the midst of an identity crisis.
He's not only in conflict with himself, but society as well as he battles day to day life in a cruel, fast paced world that often overlooks the man stranded on the side of the road.
This book deals with the issues of life and morality as it guides you through the mind and soul of a man who is on the verge of self destruction.
Overall, The Maverick presents a frank collection of poetry that deals with such themes as denial, loneliness and discovery.

I had two reasons for writing this book. My first reason was to shine some light on some very important issues. Issues that we as people tend to sweep under the rug in our quest of everyday life. I was motivated by the finger pointers who unhesitatingly say, "it will be them, before it be me'. That's why ignorance is the key ingredient in the lives of those who choose to overlook the issues written about in this text. Even though I now hate to admit it, I used to point the finger too.
My second reason for writing this book was to provide support as well as understanding to those who are dealing with issues similar to mine. Because I’m tired of seeing people stand alone on the roadside of life without a shoulder to lean on.
